Effective date: July 24, 2026

🎵 Musical Pets

1. Information We Collect
We collect information in the following ways depending on which Service you use:
Information you provide directly
- —Pet Horoscope has no account or sign-up of its own — it uses your device's existing iCloud sign-in, and your data syncs through your own private iCloud database via Apple's CloudKit. We never see your Apple ID, email, or password.
- —Pet profiles: In Pet Horoscope, you provide your pet's name, species, breed, birthday, and optionally a photo and a memorial date if you mark a profile as a memorial. Photos are stored as compressed image data in our database.
- —User-generated content: Field notes, journal entries, and other content you choose to create within the Applications.
- —Contact form submissions: When you contact us via our website, we collect your name, email, company, and message content.
Information collected automatically
- —Analytics: We do not currently use Firebase Analytics or any other analytics SDK in any of our Applications. If this changes in the future, we will update this Privacy Policy first.
- —Notifications: Reading and reminder notifications in Pet Horoscope and Clarity are scheduled locally on your device using Apple's and Android's local notification systems. We do not collect or store a push notification token, and no notification data is transmitted to our servers.
- —App activity: Pet Horoscope stores your daily reading history, streak count, and last read date to power streak tracking and personalization features.
Information from third parties
- —Apple Music (Musical Pets): With your permission, Musical Pets accesses your Apple Music library metadata — specifically genre information, artist names, and play counts. This data is processed entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers, with one exception: an optional "related music" feature sends the artist name of your top artist directly to Apple's own Music Catalog API (a service operated by Apple, not us) to look up related content. See the Musical Pets section below for details.
- —Socrata Open Data Network (PolicyLens): PolicyLens sends your search queries directly to the Socrata Discovery API and, for individual datasets, to the relevant government agency's own Socrata-hosted open-data portal (for example, data.ny.gov). Many — but not all — of these datasets also appear in the data.gov catalog. We do not log or store these queries on our servers.
2. Data Collected by Each App
Here is a detailed breakdown of what each application collects, stores, and transmits:
🐾 Pet Horoscope (iOS)
No account of our own: Pet Horoscope has no email/password sign-up. It checks whether your device is signed into iCloud and uses Apple's CloudKit to store your data in your own private iCloud database. We never see your Apple ID, email, or password.
Pet Profiles: For each pet you add, we store: name, species (e.g., dog, cat, bird), breed (optional), birthday, gotcha day (optional), memorial status and memorial date (optional, if you mark a profile in memory of a pet that has passed), and an optional photo uploaded as an encrypted file attachment. All of this lives in your own iCloud account, not on a server we operate.
App Activity & Content: Daily reading history (which date you last read a horoscope), streak count and last streak date, field notes (private journal entries you create) — all synced through your iCloud account — plus care reminder settings and notification preferences, which stay on-device only.
Notifications: Daily reading reminders are scheduled locally on your device using your OS's local notification system. We do not collect a push notification token and no notification data is sent to our servers. You can turn notifications off at any time in the app's Profile settings or in your device's system settings.
Owner Data: You may optionally enter your own birthday and a partner's name and birthday for the compatibility feature. This is synced through your iCloud account like your other pet data.
Where data is stored: Your own private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit) — not a server operated by Toastfield.
Deleting your data: You can delete all your data at any time from the Profile screen in the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent, and only affects what this app stored in your iCloud account — your Apple ID and iCloud account are unaffected.
🎵 Musical Pets (iOS)
Apple Music Library Access: With your permission, Musical Pets reads metadata from your Apple Music library — specifically the genres, artists, and play counts of your most-played songs. This data is used to generate your unique game world, traits, and biome layout.
This data stays on your device, with one narrow exception. Apple Music metadata is processed entirely on-device using Apple's MusicKit framework and is never transmitted to Toastfield's servers. An optional "related music" feature sends only the name of your top artist directly to Apple's own Music Catalog API (a service operated by Apple, not us) to surface related content — this goes to Apple, not to us, and no other library metadata is included in that request. Game data is saved locally using SwiftData on your device only.
Game State: Your collected creatures, world level, Harmony balance, unlocked biomes, achievement progress, and weekly recap data are all stored locally on your device using SwiftData. This data is not backed up to our servers. If you delete the app, this data is permanently deleted.
In-App Purchases: Musical Pets currently has no in-app purchases — the game is entirely free, and any in-game currency ("Harmony," "Gems") is earned through play, not purchased. If we introduce optional real-money purchases in the future, they will be processed entirely by Apple via StoreKit, and we will update this Privacy Policy first.
No account required. Musical Pets does not require an account and does not collect any personally identifiable information.
Where data is stored: On your device only. No server-side storage.
📊 PolicyLens (iOS)
No personal data collected. PolicyLens does not require an account and does not collect any personally identifiable information.
Search queries: When you search for datasets, your query is sent directly to the Socrata Discovery API, and dataset-level requests go to the relevant government agency's own Socrata-hosted open-data portal (for example, data.ny.gov). Socrata is a data-hosting platform used by data.gov and many individual federal, state, and local government agencies to publish open datasets; PolicyLens is not affiliated with or endorsed by data.gov, Socrata, or any government agency. We do not intercept, log, or store your searches. These services may log requests in accordance with their own privacy policies.
Saved favorites: Datasets you save as favorites are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted anywhere.
Where data is stored: Favorites stored on your device only. Search requests go directly to Socrata's and individual agencies' open-data APIs — no data is stored on our servers.
💡 Clarity (iOS)
No server-side data collection. Clarity does not require an account and stores all data exclusively on your device, in the app's private local storage area.
Decision data: Decisions you log, including titles, context, status, goal alignment, and reminders, are stored locally on your device. This data is not transmitted to us or any third party.
Notification permissions: If you set decision reminders, the app uses iOS's local notification system. Notification data stays on your device and is processed by iOS — no data is sent to our servers.
Theme preferences: Your selected color theme is stored locally using iOS's standard preferences system.
Data export: Clarity's About screen lets you export your decision data as a CSV file through iOS's standard share sheet (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files, or a third-party app of your choosing). This is entirely optional and under your control — where the exported file goes after that is your choice and is governed by the destination app or service's own privacy practices.
Optional external links: Clarity's About screen includes optional links to our Instagram page and to an optional feedback form hosted on Google Forms. Visiting either is entirely optional. Submitting the feedback form is governed by Google's privacy policy; visiting Instagram is governed by Meta's privacy policy. We do not receive any personal data unless you choose to submit the feedback form.
Where data is stored: On your device only. No server-side storage.
📈 Chartform (iOS)
No server-side data collection. Chartform does not require an account and stores all data exclusively on your device using SwiftData.
Imported and created data: CSV and Excel files you import, and the charts and datasets you create, are parsed and stored entirely on-device. Files are never transmitted to our servers or any third party.
Clipboard access: Chartform can create a chart from data you paste from the clipboard, and can copy a rendered chart image to the clipboard so you can paste it elsewhere. iOS will show its own system prompt when the app reads clipboard contents. The clipboard is a system resource shared with other apps on your device — Chartform itself does not transmit clipboard contents anywhere.
Exporting charts: You can export or share a chart as an image, CSV, or PDF using iOS's share sheet or file-save dialog. If you choose to save an export to a cloud-backed location (such as iCloud Drive) or share it through another app, that file leaves your device as a result of your own choice — Chartform itself does not upload it anywhere.
Where data is stored: On your device only. No server-side storage.

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services. Each has its own privacy practices:
Apple CloudKit / iCloud

Apple MusicKit / Apple Music API
Musical PetsUsed in Musical Pets to access Apple Music library metadata with your permission. All data is processed on-device, except that an optional "related music" feature sends your top artist's name to Apple's Music Catalog API. - —No storage of payment information — all payment processing handled by Apple or Google
- —Access to production systems limited to authorized team members
While we take reasonable security precautions, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not use our Services or provide any personal information to us.

- →Opt-out of notifications: You can opt out of push notifications at any time in the app's settings or your device's system notification settings.
- →Withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

- —Consent: For optional features such as push notifications, Apple Music access, and marketing communications. You may withdraw consent at any time.
Under GDPR, you have the rights described in Section 8 above, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
For users in the EEA: Pet Horoscope data is stored in your own private iCloud account through Apple CloudKit, not on servers we operate — Apple's own cross-border transfer safeguards apply to that infrastructure. Any data you send us directly, such as an email, may be processed in the United States.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. We will notify you of material changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy and, for users of Pet Horoscope, by sending a push notification or displaying a notice within the app.
We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of our Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
